So the Irish Festival asked me what day would be better for my band to perform. I'm somewhat torn because of things going on both days ( Read more... )

I would like to clarify my Saturday answer a bit... Perform on Saturday, do the BBQ and skip the Poison/Skid Row/Vince Neil concert. You are going to be totally wiped out from the weekend without the concert, and going will only make it far far worse. If you're really tired from the concert on Saturday, your dance (and possibly music performances) will really suffer on Sunday. Also, add that to trying to run back and forth all day on Sunday... you'll perform worse in both if you're that tired and stressed out about making it to everything on time. And spend the time Saturday night with Terry. You know you want to. ;)

Very, very true. I just feel bad because those tickets aren't cheap and even though it was a present to me and I wouldn't be out any money, Jay and Julie would be...but you bring up good points.

I see that point. But they also didn't tell you about it until the last minute, and you are already way booked that weekend. If they'd asked you about it sooner, you could have told them you were way too busy that weekend, or re-arranged something to make it possible to go without issue. (Or you could have told them you could only go if you had a ticket for Terry too, so you wouldn't have to ditch him one of the few nights he's in town with you.) That's just my $.02.

This has nothing to do with your post. But wanted to let you know we will be leaving on the 25th for Sheridan. I'll call you probably the 29 and let you know when we'll be heading home. :) Let me know what times and what not are best for you to be getting together.

See you soon!

Awesome! So would you be hitting Denver/Cheyenne on your way home? We have a gig on the 29th and it's right off of I-25, if you're planning on taking that highway, if you're interested.

cool, I'll run it by Zen and see if that is doable or too late. :)
and yes, we'll be taking I-25 down from Sheridan to Denver. :)

well, i guess what i suggest is that, even though you will be having a MAJORLY busy weekend, that was nice of jay and julie to get you a ticket to the concert. and i'm sure they weren't cheap. so... unless they can give the ticket to someone else, i would go to that saturday and then do the bbq thing sunday.
as for terry, does he have a friend he could hang out with saturday? explain to him the situation and see how he feels, is another thing you might want to do.
but yeah... that is a tough one. if you would rather spend the time with terry, then thank them for getting you the ticket, but explain to them the situation...
am i helping at all or am i just dragging it on? sorry...
