Hey y'all. So I'm on a serious health kick atm and looking at nutrition with renewed interest. One thing I discovered recently was how important our friend turmeric is to our diets.

oo.. i must admit that tumeric the least used of my standard curry spices.. ive always thought that uncooked ground tumeric kind of smells like stale dust.. but maybe i'll try and change that now.

Hee! Stale dust is the perfect description for turmeric.

I'm going to keep my eyes open for more chances to use the stuff. If you're a scrambled eggs fan, a bit of turmeric goes nicely with some cracked black pepper and a smidge of salt to taste.

The onion soup was quite good. I added 100g of pearl barley for bulk and let that cook through for about 40 minutes before serving. Ken had it with some dark rye bread and loved it.
