does anyone have a good creme brulee recipe?
i've found this one on taste... but am open to suggestions.
Ingredients (serves 4)
600ml thickened cream
1 vanilla bean, split, seeds scraped
6 egg yolks
1/4 cup caster sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar

The creme brulee recipe I use isn't baked, you just pour the custard into ramekins, sprinkle sugar on top and burn it.
Baking the brown sugar in the oven is weird, too . . .
A good creme brulee is to die for. I don't make them any more, sadly :(
