Sweet, Sweet Onions

Hey folks! My first post here. Hopefully I can contribute something useful from my experience of having to cook for myself for the first time ever. I find cooking is extremely theraputic. ooh those caramelised onions sound good! I've never made them before but I think this community will inspire lots of firsts! what do you like to eat them on?

love caremelised onion them with any nice juicey red meat, particularly good with roasts if you're bored with gravy like me.

but i tried the "nicest way to cook onions" on a fish fillet (being a white wine sauce) and it was heaven!

did all those onion hints come from the simple food book? damn.. i have that book and i hadnt realised the treasures to be found in it. the roasted onions sounded divine....

those sound amazing!!! J is a massive caramelised onion fan - I'm going to get him to try your other recipes. I also love using a tempura batter to make onion rings. Make sure you whisk it with ice-cubes in the batter and it's still lumpy. Have amended your tags to give ONION its own!!
