He did not sow [for Theon]

Dany was still heartbroken over her conversation with Lyanna. It hurt and made her feel unwanted even though she knew that was not the case. So she'd started walking, hoping that it would help to ease her mind even with the dragon by her side. She didn't know really where she was going, only that she was going and that the going was slow ( Read more... )

Shadow had stolen his clothes again. Theon didn't mind the walk from the water back to the treehouse, but with only a towel wrapped around his waist things went slower than usual. She was going to pay for this when he returned home -- in as enjoyable way as possible, of course.

He was heading in a different direction when he saw her, and it was her belly that he saw before anything else. She was a small thing, still fair-haired and fair-skinned where he was not, despite the island sun. A twinge of something made him turn and cross towards her.

"Shouldn't you be lying down, Your Grace?" he called, not close enough to lower his voice but getting closer still.

Drogon looked lazily at him with one burning red eye, a silent warning that even though he was clearly unarmed, he was not to come near enough to touch her. The dragon bore little love for the kraken in front of him, but not so little that he'd attack without reason.

Dany's response was far more belated while she considered her words. That voice...gods how long had it been since she'd heard it? Too long, and she found that on some level she missed it dearly. "One gets tired of lying down all the time. And I missed my home, is that too much to want, Ser?" she said calmly as she turned to face him and immediately flushed. It was good to know that some things at the very least, never changed.

It wasn't affection that he felt for her, but it wasn't malice either. Enough time had passed that some part of him looked back on their days together almost fondly.

After all, their time together had indeed been enjoyable while it lasted. There was a certain madness to Shadow that kept her from leaving a known child-slayer; Theon could not fault Dany for her sanity. "Not too much at all," he said, mesmerized by her belly. "Yes, you would be quite far along, wouldn't you. Hells, but it has been a long time."

No, it was not affection on Dany's part either, but when one is confronted by a man sculpted as Theon Greyjoy was and clad only in a towel, it was easy to forget such things. Later, she would probably condemn her body for reacting as such.

"I have a single turn of the moon left," she said confidently. "If I'm doing my maths right, that is. And for my part, I cannot wait for it to be finished."
