my brightest diamond is shara worden and her merry band of musicians. saw them last night at the space and they were outstanding. fresh off an opening gig for asthmatic kitty label-mate sufjan stevens, they were and are in the groove. last night was kind of a special show since (1) johnny rodgers, one-half of the brother team which owns the space

You going to the Rebel show? Eleni Mandell is playing that same showcase (as well as Scott H Biram, who is also entertaining). Tell Eleni I said hi if you go, she'll probably get a kick out of it.

nope. i was gonna go see christine fellows but she ended up cancelling. so, plan b was to haul smoemeth's luggage down to nyc, catch however much of rachael's gig at mo pitkins and then go find dinner. which is more or less what happened. wheeee!

PS - I did record the MBD set in Atlanta, I'm sure I won't get around to uploading it any time soon, but I'll burn to a CD and bring with me if I'll see you when I'm in NY.
