SGU 2x15 "Seizure"

Maybe if I really tried, I could understand the A and B plots as poignant counterpoints, different explorations of the theme of… urg, I really couldn’t figure out the theme, and maybe that was my problem.

Not my favorite, but there were bits I enjoyed )

I don't think we were meant to worry about Rush getting back to reality, because of course he was going to, unless they were going to pull some epic twist on us and give us program!Rush. It was more the realization that sweet little miss brilliant Mandy was really a well-meaning obsessive creeper the entire time and that Eli had to make the choice to give up his own girlfriend to help save Rush. And then Rush loses someone he cares about. Again. One only hopes that he realizes how messed up and unhealthy that relationship actually was and doesn't get hung up on her.

I think where I detached is that ... oh, golly, I don't know how I'd actually react / will react when it comes down to it for myself IRL, but I'm pretty spiritual, and kind of regard death as part of life. And so while it was tragic that Mandy and what's her-name were killed young I didn't have an overwhelming desire to see them brought back.

RE: Mandy - I hang with physicists - she actually scans as comparatively pretty well adjusted, even in her obsessive mode.

RE: Eli/what's-her-name - IDEK.
