I was asking myself the same question. Then I realized hmmm maybe it's just pent up anger. You know, H.G. had a big hand in Kelly ditching him, she almost(ish) ended the world, she hurt Myka, and she's not there for him to be angry AT. Myka nagging, probably just pushed him over the edge and really Myka is the reason he even had a connection with H.G.
