The different levels of irony in this line are fantastic. I like the way you tied it all together- Jon's "nothing ever ends" and Rorschach's journal and Adrian's own apprehensions about what he did. Also, Sally doing public charity work post-squid is something I hadn't thought of for her, but it makes a lot of sense and I really like it.
