Your characterization of Adrian is so poignant. I like how he related to the cat and how very easy it is to relate and like him here, considering he is such a complex character in canon. But there are intricacies in his character in this story that just blew me away. Thank you for writing this! :))

I like writing kidfic for pretty much that reason - it allows me to play with the characters we all know, and tweak them a bit. Sure, kid!Adrian has some of the traits we will later see in his adult self, but well, no one is the same person from birth to death. That would be pretty boring, and take all the meaning out of life.
