What on earth is going on in that second picture?

In that scene in Yakitate Japan Azuma made a type of nan that had curry flavoring in it. And it was so good that the judge (the guy in the picture) kind of spaced out and went on a journey of Indian flavors and pictures. I guess you have to see it to know what I'm talking about.
