Is it possible you actually have an overactive thyroid now since the surgery?

Sure, it's possible, but I don't know if I do. I will put it on the list to have checked out. TY!

Make sure you're not drinking right before during or min 30 min after eating

Right, haven't been doing that. Did it one time by accident and felt so ill for hours after that I haven't made that mistake since.

Thanks!

First, if I were you I'd fire the surgeon, because he's an ass. You don't really need him anymore -- your GP (mine is an internist) can get all the bloodwork done you need. I fired mine after he mismanaged a post-surgical infection and nearly killed me.

Then get your thyroid tested.

Second, track your carb and fat intake as well. You may not be taking in enough fat.

Third, how much are you exercising? Maybe you need to cut back on how much or how intensely.

I pretty much have, but I am going in for the final appt and be done with his asshole nature.

I will start tracking my carbs and fat intake starting tonight. Ty.

I am not exercising that much, honest. I do 30 mins of strengthening 6 x a week to keep from relapsing with the GBS (per my Physical Therapists). Maybe that is too much?

Thank you!!! <3 <3 <3

Have you also thought about taking enzymes to help you stop the loss? I don't know what kind of WLS you had, but a friend who had the DS had this issue...and she had to take them for awhile to reset her body!! GOOD luck!!!

Around my 1 year anniversary I had the same issue. I really got lower than I should have, my face looked gaunt. I am now 2 1/2 years out and I was able to put on 10 pounds and feel great but now I have to weigh myself at least a couple of times a week to keep at that weight or I start to gain. Your body goes through a lot of changes after that first year.
