All Our Selves Are Round

Well, it's been a while. And I've been mostly away from the computer so I've not even been reading the old f-list much, either. The strange thing about that is, I find myself wondering all the wrong things about you guys, like what book Sonya's book group is reading now, how Kyle (of Shan and Vince fame) is doing, what Liam's girlfriend's real name ( Read more... )

And ROLL. Go Sox! I looked at that theatre thing you're doing. That looks pretty sweet-ass. But, did you move to Texas or something? Huh? At least you're near Austin, right (saw the area code on your bday post). So it could be worse.

The Girl made me move from San Francisco so she could get her MFA.
Thence who knows. She made it up to me by getting my the Baseball Package.

If you need a headache try to write and develop a show in twelve weeks. I used to have hair.

Avoid Texas.

And stop avoiding the Sox Comm. Sammich and I can't be the only literate fans bashing skulls over there just because you've got delusions of grandeur. ;)

Well, welcome bakc around. I actually thought about you on Saturday night. Saw a guy at the bar that looked a lot like you.

As for my dear Kyle, he's still not doing well in school at all, and I'm not sure how to get him to take it seriously. I have noticed that overall, especially in the last month or so, he seems to be 'maturing' - he's home more often, seems calmer, not as much back talk and animosity coming from him, he's been more loving and cuddly again lately.

And he's gone and is going through that crazy growth spurt. He's an inch or so taller than me, and skinny and lanky looking. And he let one of his friend's cut his hair, which I think I'll get repaired tongight or tomorrow. He's got sort of a Beatles bowl cut. I hardly see it because he's always wearing a Yankees cap, but when I do, I cringe.

Yeah, I'd cringe too.

I've thought a lot about the school thing also, because I've been talking to my cousin, age 18, who also doesn't take it seriously at all. It's definitely a problem with kids that age.

I think I have a promo copy or two in a box somewhere, maybe I'll sign one for you. And draw a picture in it, so you can follow along with the action! Just kidding. Weren't you going to school for something that seemed random that I've forgotten? How's that going?

Another thing I was wondering, are you still playing poker? How's that going?

It's not really widely available, due to several factors (including me being a literary nobody, the book not being promoted at all or distributed outside this area, and the whole potential court injunction thing), but I'll be sure to let you know if anything changes.

Perhaps if you read my journal once in a while. :P

Yeah, keep me up to speed on the book thing. How long did it take you to write it and how long is it?

Well, that's what I was saying, that I haven't been around livejournal dot com for so long I was way behind on peoples' lives. But now I have a handy link to yours, so I shall have a look.
