So I want unilateral on this one and declared it done, even though it probably COULD use a sequel this is also one of my fics where I imagine them breaking up after the fact. Lol. Is this the shortest fic you've written? It's definitely the shortest one since I started beta reading for you... high five, because short fics are hard. Also they totally break up after the fact. YES I had my interview and they liked me I think? I was articulate and cool, for the most part. Nah, it's more in line with the lengths of my old kinkmeme fills--it's actually relatively long for one of those. If you made a chart of how long my fics are relative to when I wrote them I think they've been getting longer as I've been involved in fandom longer? idk why. Back in the good ole days I was cranking out fills in one night, usually, which probably explains why they were shorter.

Other fics where I imagine they break up after the fact: mostly window born to be broken, uhm. Though maybe also summer days & summer nights. I SELL LIES.

I'm glad your interview went well! Did they ask you how you felt about Steve Jobs dyin'? Probably not. But I hope you get the job! And then you and the other mohawk girl can...both have mohawks and work at the apple store, I guess.

I swear every single new story you write, I'm convinced is my favorite. Then you write another one that I love even more. This is just wonderful. Eames's voice is just hilarious and just the right amount of melancholy and Arthur's notebook is something I will never tire of imagining, you described it in a way that it's impossible not to fall in love with him for having created it. Will Eames really do the one-man show? I like to imagine Arthur in the audience on opening night.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed this, because I always wonder if a new fic is going to be a comparative let-down of some sort.

I wish I was a better draw-er, and then I would've tried to make some pages from Arthur's notebook because I was worried my descriptions were a little vague...but that was not going to happen.

And Eames was doing a one-man show all along, he'd just been procrastinating on the script and also I never mentioned it prior because it was kind of dues ex machina, um. BUT HE DOES DO THE SHOW. And Arthur is there! I don't know much beyond that.

Awesome! That's just what I was hoping you'd say. I was 95 percent sure that he was actually doing the show and just hadn't written it yet, but a nagging voice wondered if he'd talked himself into a corner in his desperation to ask Arthur out.

Also, your descriptions of the notebook were just perfect. I could totally see it in my mind and half imagined the lifeguard story Eames described.
