I think this means that I have to take my Doc Martens out of retirement. They've been sitting in the back of my closet since I stopped working at Starbucks. XD

Echoing the congratulations!

And I am so glad you are having fun with Merlin (and that you are crushing on Gwen, because Gwen is seriously my girl. ♥). It really is made of :D :D :D.
Which episode are you on?

Thank you!~

I am loving this to death! It feels almost like cheating to be enjoying something so much during the school year. XD (And Gwen, yes, how precious is she? ♥)

"The Gates of Avalon". It is rocking my face off.

I am kind of surprised by how much I adore Gwen, because I'm usually not fond of Guinevere in most Arthurian retellings. But she's so awesome in this! She's so sweet and a little shy but her loyalty gives her courage and conviction and aaaaaaah I love her.

And yeah, the show is just plain enjoyable, and the characters all have crazy chemistry with each other. It is so nice when I get to watch shows where I pretty much love every pairing you can come up with for the main cast. Lancelot can come, too.

(The Gates of Avalon is one of my favorites in the first season, I think, at least in terms of the sheer fun factor. ♥ This is partially because Arthur is really hot when he's mind-controlled. Why no, I am not shallow!)

Me too. Although, I feel as though she kind gets the short shift in a lot of the retellings. There's not a lot of canon when it comes to her character (and saying there's Arthurian "canon" at all is a little iffy, but you know what I mean XD), so authors tend to knit her together from whole cloth. For example, her characterization in The Mists of Avalon was so horrible that it put me off her for years.

But back to the (adorable) subject at hand: I'm completely besotted with Merlin's interpretation of her; she's just so sweet and honest and brave...*happy sigh*

Also, drop-dead gorgeous.

I'd want you to be my waitress xD. I'd totally tip you extra just for being Wizzard.

OH MY GOSH MERLIN aaldsjhflajhdl <33333 The CG is absolutely horrible but the acting is awesome (for a show of its premise) and just. Everything. Absolute love. I don't really ship anything but the obvious, a la Merlin/Arthur, Gwen/Morgana, Gwen/Lancelot, Gwen/Arthur, Uther/Gaius no I am actually joking because Uther just squicks me out, he is so blind and annoying and prejudiced and JUST GETS WORSE SECOND SEASON AHHH (but maybe that means good character creation because at least he incites SOME reaction out of me)

But anyways, yes, Merlin is awesome.

Aww, you're too nice. I'd give you extra lemon in your Dr. Pepper for that. XD

I walked in to the show shipping Gwen and Morgana. So I had a jump start! But honestly, I don't mind the CGI being low budget. I grew up on the BBC's Chronicles of Narnia miniseries, and I always loved how they would pass on special effects to put actors in costumes instead, or indulge in some really cool animation. It gave the show a more organic feel, and I feel like that's kinda what I'm getting out of Merlin.

Wooo, two forks? Fancy! =D Congratulations!

That show is just so fun and happy <3 I wish I could ship television shows, because I'd be all over Gwen/Morgana and the whole foursome thing. And that wise old dragon beneath the castle totally ships Merlin/Arthur. It's hilarious.

OH MY GOD YES THE SLASH DRAGON.

HE IS TOTALLY COVERING THE WALLS OF HIS CAVE WITH MERLIN/ARTHUR FIC IN RUNIC INSCRIPTIONS.

I mean. He has guidance, Merlin! You must show him a firm hand. I am trying to think of a non-gay reading of that line and I am just. Completely failing to do so.

THE SLASH DRAGON IS AWESOME. It is your destiny, Merlin! Show him the way, Merlin! XD And poor Merlin is just, WHAT? WHAT ARE YOU--WHAT? YOU SHIP US?

No no, it's destiny. It's technical. <3

OH MY GOD YOU GUYS, HE TOTALLY DOES. And by extension, John Hurt ships it too. I am sure of it. All that smug chortling every time he manages to nudge them together. XD

I wish my Destiny involved as much UST as Merlin's seems to.

Also, um. If you are in the fandom (even if you're not), this fic is completely amazing.
