Pansy leaned back against the sofa and crossed her arms as Longbottom finished his speech. She cocked her head and thought for a moment about what questions to ask. "What exactly are your plans concerning the winnings? As you said you're returning to teach the br... children at Hogwarts, but we are speaking about 5000 galleons, quite a lot of money for a school teacher." She arched one eyebrow and let her mouth stay open in the form of a small 'o' to signify her curiosity.

Rita considered. The press were not nice. They didn't care about a person's feelings. They didn't care if you stammered, if you were shy, if you didn't want to talk about something. She never had in a professional capacity.

She knew where she'd go, were she the one on the outside who'd seen what had happened in the garden - a chance to embarrass this man, make him admit things he didn't intend to. A chance to skewer the reputation of a rival.

Better to do it herself, then, and deny anyone else the pleasure.

"You say you've done things that are unlike you? Do you regret any of them?"

Neville tilted his head back. He should have seen this coming. He smiled wanly, thinking about how he could present his answer before he actually attempted a reply. Rita would be looking for chinks in his armour, but she was also a woman, and women had feelings - even raptors like her.

He hummed thoughtfully, then met her gaze.

"Regretting what I've done or haven't done would be stupid. Learning from my experiences is far more important. I hope that...I can take what I've come to understand in the house into the world outside it. I'm not talking about what I know about other people; whether they like whiskey or brandy or vodka. I mean more what I've learnt about myself. I hope I can grow from these experiences."
