Neville stared at the parchment, not sure what to do. Who did he vote for now? He didn't want to vote for anyone at all.
He dropped his head into his hands, then sat back up and lifted the quill, working through the names in his head. He chose Daphne and Harry, finally. The only people he hadn't spoken to at all this week.
Putting the quill to the parchment, Pansy wasted no time in writing down the two names she had chosen this week. Harry Potter and Terry Boot. She watched at the parchment rolled up with a snap and vanished just as quickly. Then she left the room.
Merlin, this was getting difficult. Or maybe no so much this week - even if she'd have preferred to only have to nominate one - but it would get very difficult next week.
Harry Potter and Daphne Greengrass. She had no specific reason for the latter, but of all the remaining housemates, Daphne was the one with whom she'd interacted the least.
Romilda heaved a sigh, the feathery tip of the quill tickling her skin as she thought about who she was going to nominate this week. As the first name, she wrote down Daphne Greengrass. She bit her lip. She knew who she was supposed to be nominating, since it was the same person she should have nominated last week, too. Only then, she didn't.
She hesitated, the quill quivering a little between her fingers. After swallowing the lump in her throat, she wrote down Harry Potter with great difficulty, as if her hand was protesting against the decision of her mind. But there was no going back now, the name vanished as soon as she had lifted the tip of the quill off the parchment. She put it down and rubbed her eyes, tiredly. She had done the right thing, so she knew, but that didn't make her feel less nauseous.
