Pansy looked at the weirdest riddle so far, who would have guessed that the Ministry knew how to apply logic to something? Because it was simple logic to figure out the clues one by one and use them to solve the riddle. Getting a fresh piece of parchment and a quill, she sat down and began thinking the words over.

Logic. Interesting. This one couldn't be too hard, could it?

Rita had her quill make a copy of the riddle, and took it with her to the sofa and began playing with combinations.

6,4,2,5,1,3 - no, that couldn't be right. 2,5,6,4,1,3 - no, not that either. the even numbered jar - that was the problem. Hm, and to the left or right didn't mean directly, unless it said so. 6,2,5,4,1,3? No, still the problem with five.

Six and four were in the wrong place. Had to be. She scribbled the numbers again. 2,5,1,3,6,4. That conformed to everything, didn't it? Was she looking at it right?

She waited for Romilda to show. Needed that second opinion.

Romilda walked into the sitting room. She had nearly forgotten there would be another riddle today, her head was still spinning from the previous ones and she couldn't help but shudder at the thought of a new one.

She saw Rita sitting in her usual spot and walked over to her. She glanced over Rita's shoulder and noticed she had already been busy with finding the answer.

Rita became aware of Romilda hovering behind her, and looked up. "I think I've got it," she said. "Logic puzzle. But it didn't take me very long, so I'm not sure if I've made a mistake or not. Want to take a look?" She offered the parchment up.

Romilda nodded. "Sure." She mumbled and took the parchment.

She studied the riddle, and then the clues. She frowned. "That looks right to me, Rita. Another one to you, I believe." She grinned.

"OK, last riddle" Ginny thought to herself "This one will have the least clue I need to get my hand on the chest."

She examined the parchment... One of *these* puzzles, eh? Hermione had told her about the Bottle Puzzle that she'd solved as part of beating the defences around the Philosopher's Stone. It was all about logic, she said... Follow the clues, and they'll save you.

So, 2 and 5 were together, as were 1 and 3. 6 is left of 4, and 5 is left of 1. So draw them out...

2,5 1,3
6....4 5....1

Put 2,5 in the 6-4 gap, and 1,3 on the end... Nope, breaks the Even in Slot 5 rule.

But if we make 6...4 to a 6,4 pair...

There! 2,5,1,3,6,4. That meant the order was Bicorn horn, Gillyweed, Aconite, Crushed black beetles, Dried Billywig stings and Doxy essence

Right, then... All that was left was to wait until tomorrow's rebus...
