5. If you could live anywhere in the world for one year, where would you go, and why?: I'd probably most like to spend a full year in California. I've never been, but heard lots of wonderful things about it. It seems like a relaxed yet vibrant sort of place.
6. Explain the significance/meaning/origin of your username: Because my second name is Figg, and seeing my nickname in my favourite books was a very squee-worthy moment!
7. What's your favourite holiday, and why?: New Year. I love the excitement, the happy, crazy atmosphere that night has. I love having a great time with friends and kissing my boyfriend at midnight, really letting my hair down. It always helps me to put any hard times I've had in the past year behind me, and the fresh start pushes me to be more driven in the next.
8. Favourite three books (besides Harry Potter): Red Dragon by Thomas Harris, At Swim, Two Boys by Jamie O'Neil and His Dark Materials Series by Phillip Pullman.
9. What is or was your favourite and or best subject in school? It would be a toss up between English and Drama, and I excelled in both. In fear of sounding horribly conceited, I was very good at everything, but I loved acting and writing the most.
10. If you could ask JKR one question, what would it be? Actually, if I did have the chance to talk to her, I'd thank her for the wonderful series. As I was growing up it was wonderful (and much needed) escapism, which became a shining hope of a world of great friendships and courage, then was a driving force in my own ambition for writing. Sounds corny, I know - but they really helped me, as well as being endlessly enjoyable.
11. Which of the Harry Potter books thus far was your favourite, and why?: I'm in love with the last book at the moment, but when the dust settles, my ultimate Harry Potter book. has to be Prisoner of Azkaban. That was the one that really hooked me, brought in Professor Lupin and the brilliant Marauder backstory and made me fall in love with the trio all over again.
12. If you could have the power to perform one spell, and only one spell, absolutely flawlessly for the rest of your life, what would it be and why? This might be cheating - but I'd choose to be an Animagus, not only to be an animal wherever I want, but it would be fascinating to see what I would be. I have a feeling I would be a wolf. But if that's not allowed - I'd probably choose to Apparate, then I could go all over the world, see so many things! I hope to see many things anyway - but think of the convieniance! :D I suppose I could learn that flight spell Voldemort did, though that might be Dark Magic...
13. What House do you honestly think you’d end up in, and why?: Gryffindor, and I'm not elitist - all the houses have wonderful qualities - but I have to admit I'm brave and value courage and all that liony stuff, though I am brainy and loyal and highly sarcastic!
14. Are you willing to accept cross-gendered votes/stamps?: Of course!
15. Anything else we should know?: I've been through a lot of difficult times in my life, though happily it's going the other way now. I think it's made me slightly bitter, though wiser, and I appreciate the happier times so much more now. Try to do as much happy things in as I can, and play my life like I want to, go for my own dreams, yadda yadda.
