If I may remind you, you still owe three hundred more before your part of the bargain is fulfilled, and if things continue as they are we'll have to start taking even more drastic measures after your leave - so I certainly hope your optimism is warranted. I don't suppose either you or Miss Hatter is talented at conjuring rations out of thin air?

Your offer to redouble your efforts is not unappreciated. However, whilst you sit safe and secure preparing happy little spells and enchantments, Prince Justin -- my kith and kin -- is on the front lines and reports back that the Strangians are far more bloodthirsty than we had suspected. There was no advance intelligence on that, as you well know.
The arrival of fifty more units is acceptable, although it would be even better if you could arrange their delivery to the front lines yourself. Save my runners the trouble. I'll be expecting that with the next delivery.

Will you please tell Miss Hatter that she simply cannot keep turning up at the palace first thing in the morning? I am happy to speak to her, but she might at least have the decency to wait until I've had the chance to read the latest reports from the front and get dressed!

Pursuant to our discussion yesterday afternoon at Kingsbury, need I remind you I am King of this land and do not take kindly to threats, real or perceived. I know war puts pressure on everybody but the end goal is to have a Strangia-free Ingary, not to inconvenience the Royal Wizard and his family. I understand the importance of planning a good wedding; I did it myself once upon a time. However, Howl, you are far from the only man in this land ever to wed. I demand that you focus on the task at hand -- the remainder of the medical kits -- and while I applaud your protectiveness over Miss Hatter, I will have no hesitation to remand you to the brig at the next ultimatum from either of you ( ... )

Well, I don't know how you did it, but Prince Justin's latest missives attest: we have at last won our first decisive victory against the Strangian forces. Whatever you're doing, keep doing it!
(And tell Miss Hatter, who seems so determined, that we'll discuss any raise in salary after your promised break.)
