Dairine had gone back to the bedroom to go to bed. At least that was the theory. Nita rubbed at her face with the sweatshirt sleeve she'd pulled down over her hand. The dress was gone- banished back to the clothesbox, and she was now in sweats that had to be three sizes too big. "No," she said, even her voice sounding waterlogged.

Face it, Neets. It's hopeless. This isn't a movie, and he's in love with someone else. Who he's with.

Dairine shrugs, sliding off her bed to join Nita on hers. "My stomach hurts a little and I'll be up all night, but it was okay. What's the matter?"

The kind of movies Dairine's seen all of very seldom have long explanations about kissing. "I've seen The Princess Bride," she hedges. "So who was it?"
