Obligatory Year-End List: Top 10 Albums of 2008

I was reading Spin magazine's top 40 albums of 2008 today, and couldn't believe the garbage they considered quality music. Of the 40 albums listed, I agreed with 2 of them (potentially 3, but I haven't had a chance to hear Bon Iver's latest yet, so I can't exactly put it on the list if I haven't heard it.) I share the Joshua Radin love, but I didn't like "Simple Times" as much as "We Were Here" - I discovered him care of Noah's Arc, because I'm the gayest gay that ever gayed.

I discovered him because Erica kissed Callie the first time in an elevator with that song playing in the background...

Several of the artists on my list have Grey's Anatomy significance... I'm such a loser!

I agree that Oracular Spectacular was one of the best (it didn't make my top ten list, though), but really, those three key tracks you listed are probably the only truly great tracks on the entire CD. It's a good album all around, but just good. Certainly not spectacular.

It's only available on iTunes. The full length should come out this spring.
