Happy Valentine's Day, friends. Spend tonight with people you like and spend tomorrow buying cheap chocolate.

Most of you who spend any amount of time with me are familiar with the phrase "I hate people."  Generally if asked to explain, I interpret this as "Most people are stupid, and stupidity is bothersome," but the actual meaning extends far ( Read more... )

I'm really excited for the cheap chocolate. I'd be more excited about it if my skin would stop breaking out. Bah humbug.

The thought of having to deal with face-to-face interpersonal interaction is one of the reasons I avoid leaving the house sometimes.

Yeah. I get like that a bit when I'm home, though I obediently leave my hermitage if friends or family ask me to. Can't do that here, so much, since I live with people, eat with people, go to classes with people, and game with people. All of which is nice, but going home to curl up in silence for a week or so is pleasant.

I hate feeling bad because of people, I hate being confused by people, I hate that people can't be rational, I hate that people can't be happy, etc.

My sentiments exactly. Though as for the more basic version, personally I find instances of my own stupidity (I am often well aware of it in retrospect, which is both a blessing and a curse...) far more bothersome to me than that of others. >.>

Also, yeah, getting caught in the midst of drama and being unable to do anything is quite uncomfortable.

Being an occasionally arrogant narcissist helps with that. I rarely feel sorry for my own stupidity, I merely wish that if I act in a way people find inappropriate they tell me so that I can adjust my behavior to make them more comfortable. Unfortunately I don't necessarily trust my friends to tell me if I bug them.

I find that a lot of people hate people. Nice as he is, even zrealm hates people, but he's a GM so he has to put up with a lot of shit. My hate of people comes from a long history of stupid things people do that are so stupid that it'd be stupid for me to say. I guess that most of all, I hate how people can't be happy.

For instance, I have a friend that was complaining about how he had no one to buy candy and roses for, so I told him he could buy candy and roses for me. I enjoy candy and roses, among other things, and if it is his wish to buy candy and roses for someone, then don't we both win? He told me I was weird. I was just trying to make him happy! Hopefully, this little anecdote brings you some happiness~

^^ My thanks for the anecdote, though I must admit that I, too, would find courting a friend for fun to be potentially awkward, depending on the friend. I almost do wish I had made amusing valentines for people, though. Courting someone would be fun, but simply surprising friends with pleasant (and likely geeky) messages would have almost been moreso.

Who said anything about courting? I just want candy. You're right though that I should buy candy next year. I'll throw it at random people and yell, "Happy Valentine's Day~!" just like on Halloween when I do the same thing and yell, "Trick or treat~!" with any excess candy I may have.

*poke* You're adorable. <3 I hope you have a good break. And if I happen to find Muppet Treasure Island, we can force people to watch it when we return. ^^
