So my sister got engaged several days ago in Vegas, and she and her fiance want to get married in November. Apparently this is incredibly short notice for weddings, so she's already started the bridal insanity.  I'm her maid of honor, and while that sounds odd on a number of levels, it's nice to see my sister so happy and I'm trying to help in any

wow. good luck with the maid-of-honor thing! i'm a bridesmaid for my friend's wedding right now, and it's crazy (but then again, she's getting married next month). from now to november will be fairly manageable, i think; i hear the average length of an engagement is seven months to a year.

Aye. I'm really only maid-of-honor in title, Cyndi doesn't expect me to do much. But it should never be too crazy. There's plenty of time and she's very organized. All shall be well.
