Also, I'm really intrigued by the way this story ends... is the MC still drunk? Or was his fantasical vocabulary earlier perhaps accurate for what is going on? You should write and post more!

Thank you so much for the encouraging words. I'm not really sure what more I would write, though. Writing stuff on livejournal was an idea designed to get me out the reverse culture shock induced funk I was in at the time. Could be worth writing some more though. There's always some level of funk to be gotten out of, after all.
