Oh yes, as the weather gets colder, instead of working towards the city, there are parties to be held! Let up celebrate in this time, where it seems the crab and creature have given us a bit of leave, stead of put our efforts towards survival! How wonderful.

If it cheers people up and boosts their moral what's wrong with it? Especially if there is a lull in activity? To think that even in such an environment that people can find little things to make them happy is amazing!

They should be happy that they're still even alive.

You can still be happy you're alive without being worried and upset all the time. If people didn't take the small little things, and try to relax every so often we would loose hope and not be able to go on.
