[ FILTERED AWAY FROM ZEN ]
[ Yes, guess who's learned how to make filters! Okay, maybe she had someone show her, but that's not important right now. What is important is the question that Zen brought up when they were talking not so long ago. ]
You can like someone as a friend or like them as in a romantic interest... Is that true? What's the

Flirting? What's flirting? And is kissing... Nice? I think I know what it is...

Aki-chan told me flirting is a way to tell someone you find them attractive without telling them you find them attractive. It seems to involve a lot of rapid eye movements.
You have kissed before?
Reply
Oh... I don't think I would be particularly good at rapid eye movement. How do you flirt, though?
[ She giggles. ]
No, but I've talked about it!

You care for a friend. You care for a 'romantic interest' as well, but there's something more there. Romantic love, well... it makes your heart beat a little quicker when they're with you. There's something special abuot that person that sets them apart from everyone else. You feel safe, comfortable just to have them nearby...
[An embarassed chuckle.]
I will admit the experience may be a little different for different people.

[ There's a long pause as she thinks it over. She feels that way around Zen, a lot of the time, and she thinks that maybe, maybe, she could have felt that way for Kyrie, if they had gotten married. But there's no way Zen would ever feel like that for her. ]
I understand it. When I'm with him I feel safe, a-and I would do anything for him. [ She sighs. ] I died for him.

That certainly sounds like romantic love to me, my Lady. To die for someone, and be willing to do anything for them... that could only confirm it.

[ She does sound quite happy about this; really, though, it was obvious to anyone that had seen her with him. ]
How can you tell if they like you in return? That's what you want when you love someone, isn't it?

Mostly, it's different for every person. Generally speaking, you are happy to be around that person, and want to be there for them no matter what. You start to pay attention to the little things that make this person laugh or smile. There's a need or want to be by their side through thick and thin. Most will have a strong urge to protect this person. Love is something so simple that it's complicated.
[And now he's amused.]
A 'sexual interest' is basically lusting for someone. Sometimes lusting for someone ties in with loving someone, but there are times where it stands alone.

[ The last bit was said mostly to herself, but she listens intently to the rest of what Joshua has to say. ]
I don't think I know what lust is.

[Mm, fun conversations to be had.]
Lust is the feeling you get when you desire someone's body for sex.

[ She's a blushing mess, but he can't see that. Yay. ]
I don't think I could do that.
