I love vegas too. I've been there eight times but I wouldn't go in the summer. You must have roasted like a chicken.

I actually don't love Vegas. I've only been there twice, both times for Craig's stand up tour. I did roast like a chicken, blargh.
I do like Valley of Fire and Red Rock that's near Vegas though!

there are some very cool nature walks you can take in the desert outside Vegas proper. I've done that. It's beautiful out there with all the cool rock formations and pretty plants and interesting birds and reptiles, etc. It shoots down the stereotype that deserts are lifeless places.

I love the desert, the drive to Vegas doesn't bore me like a lot of people. Agreed on the stereotype of it being lifeless. More people need to visit the desert and not just judge it based on movies
