My dad had Lupus, which is an auto-immune deficiency. One day he just crashed. His best friend took him to the hospital when he coughed up blood. He's done that before so they thought he'd just need some medication. He crashed while filling out forms in the ER and died thirty minutes later :(
Hmm...Well seeing Parliament in London from the plane was pretty awesome, as was seeing glaciers. However, Parliament is pretty recognizable and it's easy to spot glaciers, no matter how cool they are. I think the coolest thing I've seen was Yosemite from the plane. The fact that I was able to recognize it from that high was pretty amazing. I totally impressed the flight attendant, she had to ask the pilot if it was Yosemite (I asked her to verify). I

Aw hon I'm sorry about your dad...I didn't know he had Lupus...my aunt has it too, but she has been fortunate to never have complications (knock on wood). She has access to the most advanced medicines right now so we are all hopeful she won't have any issues...sometimes I forget she has it since she just doesn't have any issues...but again I am sorry about your dad...
That would be cool if you could go back to Scotland...would you ever think about moving there since you like it so much? Also what would you want to do with the NPS? They definitely require a certain amount of schooling and you have to pass all these tests, both physical and mental...I have a friend who went into the Fish and Wildlife and he said it was CRAZY INSANE to get in there...they only take the best of the best, kind of like police academy...I considered getting into Fish and Wildlife, I would love to be a special agent, but that would be something I would do further down the line since animal control is a good prerequisite...definitely getting into biology or a job centered around that could help, or law enforcement...their website should have some links on how to get started... I will definitely be going to the taping with you, I will be down there the 22nd so I can meet you the 23rd...you might get there before me though hahaah!!! Silly...;) I can't wait to hang out with you! :)

I always wanted to live abroad, I thought it would be cool to do that for a couple years...my gf lived in Spain and different areas of Europe for like 5 years...she loved it...but she also doesn't know what she wants to do for her career, and I do, so it's more important to me to get that going

Hey you! In May I will be much closer to DC, if you'd like to get lunch or hit a museum or something, let me know - I don't know what my New Work Schedule will be like, but I would hope somewhere in there I could sneak into DC (it's about a two-hour drive, maybe slightly longer to metro in).
