New Cellphone Law Triggers Wild Chase
Oy vey! I was driving along all those streets and the area of the 405 they mentioned yesterday (Wednesday) and I remember hearing sirens. I suppose I'm lucky I wasn't caught in the middle of that! That's illegal here too. However, they have loopholes. They aren't allowed to pull you over unless you're doing something else (same with the seat-belt law unless you're at a designated stop similar to DUI stops they have belt stops). So unless someone has a light out or something else, it's pretty worthless here. I never understood why they allowed the loopholes, I guess it would tie up all the resources having them pulled over all the time? No idea.

We have a cell phone law here also. Hardly anyone pays attention to it, including the police. It is a definite problem tho, people just do not pay attention when they are on the phone. I've nearly been hit in my car and as a pedestrian from people just cluelessly blowing through traffic. Too many people confuse their rights & priveleges.
