Mine is dying too. It keeps freezing when I switch songs and then I can't unfreeze it I have to let the battery just die.

I think the older iPods were better. I keep hearing things about the new ones. I have to get myself a new iPod though..oy.

Sad part is, I think I have a 2 year warranty from Best Buy on mine but I lost it and I paid for it with cash so they can't look it up on my credit card. As much as I talk trash about them, I think I'm going to consider a Zune.

My iPod was 4 years old and the battery never died...

Can you put iTunes music on a Zune? That's the only thing stopping me from possibly getting another type of device, I got so many songs from iTunes and won't get something that isn't compatible.

I just dropped it one too many times :(
It's in a protective thing but it's old and was kinda using a walker or a cane so that fall did it. It was 4 years old, an old iPod. If I can get it fixed, I'll give it to mom on the condition that when she's done with it she doesn't toss it or anything. I want to keep it, sentimental value and all that. It was my first iPod and it was the original U2 special edition :P

Dude, I got a new one just tonight! Mom said to count it as my Chanukah present. I could have paid for it but I'm not compaining ;P
I got the iPod Classic.

I can't tell that much..is that Alan Rickman? *looks at icon*

Especially when it costs so much to replace.

oh no! What happened? If you think it might be repairable I can give the address of a great site that repairs broken ipods. i accidentally ran my nano over with my 350lb electric wheelchair and they fixed it for $75.
If it is dead, are you going to get a new one? the touch ipods look neat. I don't care for the new nanos much though.

I dunno if it could be replaced, I can look into what you said though :)
My mom got me a new one tonight, my Chanukah present :P
It's the new iPod Classic. I notice how it's..kinda slow when going between playlists but it's alright between songs and I'm not horribly picky. As long as it's big enough so I don't lose it (Nano, mini), it has good sound quality, and enough space for what I need I'm happy.

Oh, and to what happened. I dropped it one too many times. It's in a protective thing but it's old and I guess that was one time too many.
