OOW: Six Weeks Ago - The Exchange

Salah is seated on a ragged lawn chair in the center of a crowd of seated children. His leopard print hat is slanted at a jaunty angle.

"And then the ifrit grew to the size of a mountain! He reached down and plucked up Aladdin between two long finger nails!" Salah snatches up one of the nearest kids and dangles him upside down over the other children's heads. "'How shall you stop me now, boy?' the ifrit asked and laughed, laughed, and laughed." The children dangling in his arms gets tickled across his belly before dumped on in the pile of laughing kids.

"And that's all for today, kids!"

The children groaned.

"Yes, yes, I know, terrible. Go annoy your parents!"

The children are slow to scatter, and Salah is forced to chase several of them around and wrestle a few good-naturedly back to their parents as they come to collect their offspring after a day's trading. Salah is laughing and smiling as he hands a squirming eight year old back to her mother.

"It's no problem. Behave, Penny." He ruffs the little girl's hair and she laughs.
