Ha, so we had a wonderful time in Chicago last weekend. All three of us had 3:30 flights out of O'Hare on Sunday. It started to snow around noon. hammerhead22 and kiffle left pretty much on time. Oh, sad news about Magil! I've been hearing his name for so long he seemed very much part of the family.

What kind of story are you writing? Your grandson is awfully cute - when are you heading next to Vermont? Does Erin know the sexes of the new babies, has she picked out names? Should we send the Sicilians head-breakers over to teach Nic how to be a good person? :)

It was such a hard decision to make. But she was 15, grossly obese, to the point she almost couldn't walk, and prone to pee all over the place. With two babies coming, Erin wants her rugs to be pee-free. So...but it was hard. It's been an ongoing issue for more than a year, with Nic being very much against it. That was one good thing about Nic. When he met Erin, he could have been appalled at her ginormous peeing cat, but instead he fell head over heels. But he fought Erin tooth and nail on putting Magil down, until the end, when he finally confessed that he secretly hoped she would just make the decision and do it without him having to actually agree to it ( ... )

I read an article that suggested the Winter Classic could be Chicago vs. STL next year...in St. Louis! It would be great if we could all meet up for that game. If you will be seen with a Blues fan :)

That would be so much fun! I can't believe Chicago would get another outdoor game, but otoh, of course they would.

(I have to use Sid here, because I haven't gotten around to a Blue Jackets icon. I really need to do that.)

I'm used to travel difficulties between C'bus and Chicago. They're so far apart, after all!
