Haha, yes, I've been told that before, and specifically related to hockey RPF.

You have found primers? \o/! You may be lost...

Also, this is my favorite post ever about hockey fandom.

And thank you! The first story in a fandom that I haven't written in before is always scary, especially a fandom in which I think there are very talented writers. Also, again, I may not 100% buy fanon's idea of Sid as a robot, because nobody who laughs the way he does can possibly be a robot.

How can I read these things without background?!?! Of course I had to find primers....well, that is not strictly true. I was just trying to google pictures of Kaner and Tazer to read the kid fic you pimped and in doing so found the most amazing primer ever created and laughed for HOURS and then read the fic.

Then you posted your own fic and I looked for a primer and found THAT EXACT POST ABOUT HOCKEY FANDOM and have been randomly clicking and reading all morning. *double facepalms*

Hockey primers are all hilarious, I'm guessing because the subjects are, too. Be sure and watch "Club Can't Handle Kaner," it's essential viewing, along with pretty much everything Blackhawks TV has ever produced.

Fic production is down, I'm guessing because no one is playing, and I hate to think what'll happen in the event of a lockout. If you look at AO3, where most of the fic happens, Kane and Toews seem to be the most popular pairing, but there are other awesome ones, too.

And believe me when I say I'm laughing with you, not at you. =D
