[In any other frame of mind, his own tone would have surprised him, but he doesn't care. That's what it all boiled down to with Azula. She wasn't worth it. She'd killed him, hurt his friends, but she was never worth it. She had no soul, there was nothing there.]

Yeah. I mean, sort of common? Just... recently two crew members vanished, a long with a bunch of other people. And since then there have been a few more vanishing here and there.

Normally, I don't know them.

[This is kind of awkward. This Katara never really saw when he and Suki were together, so... he knows she understands why he's sad. It just makes him feel bad that he can't quite articulate it.]

Suki was her friend too. Even in the short time she'd been here, they'd.. bonded, in a sense. A girlfriend who didn't bite her head off like Toph did, someone her own age even. Or close to.]

She's.. She's home now. She'll be okay. I'm so sorry..

[Katara still doesn't know people die. Won't believe it if she's told. She can hold onto that hope.]

[Sokka will never, ever tell her that she could be dead. That Dad and Aang could be dead. He'd been hiding it, specifically from Katara. She didn't need to hear any of that. She didn't need to know any of that.

It's hard to keep the emotion out of his voice when she says that. She's not okay, says some part of his mind.]

Yeah. She... she will be.
