(For
picspammy; challenge nine - scene & sequences)
The inspiration for this came from a conversation with
darkangsty42 and from watching the series finale.
For my first attempt at
picspammy’s 9th challenge ; scene & sequences, I decided to go with the Crash Cart Roundup scene from ER season one, episode fourteen: Feb 5, '95. To set the scene: Carol Hathaway, the head nurse of the ER, had just gotten a set of brand new crash carts for the department (a feat for which she was quite proud of herself, given the fact that the ER rarely gets new equipment), but over the course of the day, these shiny new carts were absconded from the ER by the Cardiology department. The following is a lesson that one does not steal from the ER and expect to get away with it. I love the camaraderie and the fun of this scene, and the more upbeat and comical action is quite different from the high-speed life-or-death action more typical of ER.
(Note: Screencaps taken by me. All images have been edited and color enhanced; please do not use for graphics or the like. Thank you!)
Carter: Cardiology would steal our crash carts?
Connie: They steal everything.
Carter: I think we are in the Ladies room.
Carol: Dunphy’s there.
Doug: Sheri Dunphy?
Carter: What do we do?
Doug: Not a problem.
Lydia: He’s unbelievable.
Carol: And you wonder why I slept with him on our first date.
Lydia: Really? First date, huh.
Carol: Yeah. He rang the doorbell and the next thing I knew we were on the kitchen floor.
Lydia: The kitchen floor? Jeesh, I got to start dating again.
If you are interested in watching the actual scene, there is a decent video of it on youtube
