There were times it still struck Lucy as surreal, sitting in the Council office, knowing she'd somehow managed to get herself elected when a few short years earlier, she'd been arriving in the midst of a riot. "I hope so," Felix said, pleasant enough but bearing a decidedly serious attitude. Marching over to the desk, he drew himself up to better illustrate the severity of his business there today. "I've come to register a complaint with the way things are done around here."

Oh, Jesus. Lucy just barely had the presence of mind to keep her expression carefully neutral, teeth pressing to her lower lip as she raised her chin a little, inquisitive. "Alright," she said, slow, careful. "Why don't you tell me what you have a problem with and I'll tell you what we can do?"

Felix had problems with plenty of things, however, most of them fell somewhat outside the purview of council influence. That just made it all the more important to deal with the ones that didn't. "This is about the uneven bias given to certain volunteer tasks within the community. I've taken the liberty..." he said, trailing off as he wandered back out into the hall and came back with a bundle of large papers and an easel pilfered from the schoolhouse. "...of putting together a little presentation, if you don't mind."

"A presentation," Lucy echoed, because there was nothing else to be said, at first. This was definitely out of the ordinary, but she did have to be diplomatic or whatever, and if he'd gone to all that trouble, she wasn't going to say that she minded. She could at least hear him out. "No, no, by all means, that's - go right ahead."
