This is such a strange trip! What interesting characters.

Nice character study of these two sisters. This seems like the start of a longer story about their attempts at finding some meaning in an otherwise dull and lifeless community. Like with their bad ice cream and quirky personalities they are the most interesting thing in this town and don't even know it. Anyhow, I like both of them and would like to see more of them, which is surely a good sign.

I know your story was about an Ice Cream truck and not a Cheesecake truck, but the combination of theft and desert food made me think of this short song:
