[When Ryu woke up on the 10th, the last thing he expected to see was complete darkness.  After the Headmaster's announcement, he chose not to stray far from his room.  Now hunger was setting in, and he was determined to find his way to the cafeteria.  Ryu leaned against the walls, slowly sliding his hand along.  He had an approximate idea of how ( Read more... )

[ Terra had been having her own problems. She'd nearly knocked Rita's books over more than once, only able to stop them from falling by moving more swiftly than she'd ever moved before. Then it took her what seemed like forever to just open the door. Worse, everyone was moving and talking S O S L O W L Y. It made no sense.

She wanted to go out, to fight, to read, to run, to FLY. Oh wait - familiar person. She breezed RIGHT past Ryu at a quick clip, skidding and turning, carefully trotting back his way. Brakes - we has none. ]

"Ryu?What'swrong?" [ AUGH Stupid Haste spell! ]

Well... For starters, I can't see. Why are you talking so fast?

[All considered, he seemed sort of calm at the whole prospect.]

I tried taking off whatever it was, but I can't feel anything there.

Something about students being affected... You're right. The Headmaster said they haven't figured out how to fix it yet. I don't know if my Remedy spell would work any better.

[Ugh, so much for trying to get some breakfast in his body. Damian grimaces as he stomps into the Lobby. What on earth was wrong with himself? It was... well, he was at least better off than Ryu. Noticing the black cloud immediately, Damian runs over to him.]

Ryu! Hey, it's me. Damian?

Damian? You sound like you're in better spirits. I'm guessing you can see.

[Of course, with the way he's facing, he's talking to the wall.]

I'm trying to get to the cafeteria. I haven't really eaten since yesterday. I could seriously go for some apples.

That would explain why you're talking to the wall. [folds his arms]

... Hang on, I'll get you over there. Here. [Without hesitation, he holds Ryu's hands and starts walking in the direction of the cafeteria] I already went, but I wasn't able to eat anything. It was so zidgit.

I appreciate it.

[Now he's following along, just slightly slower than Damian is moving.]

You can't keep any food down?

[The voice is recognized to be Katara's, but what she says is a little... confusing.]

I've felt around my eyes, there is no bird.

[There's some shrieking laughter as soon as Ryu comes into view.]

Someone's looking a little down under the weather! [Girl A can't help but point and laugh at the black cloud in Ryu's face.

The other two girls laugh along.]

Poor poor Cadet.

[Unfortunately for them, he's no stranger to mockery or people fearing him. His focus remains on feeling his way along.]

Not for people who try to push others around. Do yourselves a favor, and don't try to kick someone when they're down. It's not a nice thing to do, and you might just tick off the wrong person and end up dead.

[Despite the apparent anger in his tone, he IS trying to be patient and warn them. It just doesn't help that this particular subject is one prone to making him angry.]
