Fluent in two, gradually learning two more, when I can. My first two are English and Japanese; my second two are French and sign language, if that is considered applicable.

And Mochizuki is tutoring you? That's courteous of him.

They work for me.

Yeah, he promised he'd teach me some really schway words. In exchange, I'm helping him with Arabic.

[Even though the term 'schway' is partially lost on her, why does that idea fill her with such dread?]

He'll have you start with single words, then?

You also seem to be using some unique jargon, as well.

I think so. It's really simple stuff.

I'm from 2042. My slang's naturally gonna be different.

AKA the stupidest language ever. It's just 0's and 1's. Computers use it for their codes.

That doesn't really sound like a language you can use to talk to others with.

Exactly. My boss back home tried to make it one, but it radically flopped.

Avian and human.

Sometimes I can get away with talking to reptiles and bats, but not bees. Go figure.

... You can speak to birds? That's pretty schway.

It's slang. Means "awesome", "something you really like." It's... approval of some kind?

I can talk with other humans and sort of understand a strange, onion-like mutant back home.

Onion-like mutant? What're you talking about?

A friend I made back home. His parent asked us to take care of him.

That just sounds strange. Does the thing even have a name?

I only speak Japanese and a few random phrases in English. Now if only they had classes in how to speak Girl I'd be in good shape. It's a totally different language and I just don't get it.

Girl doesn't count either! Zift. [Zift meaning idiot in Arabic.]

...if Girl counted, it'd be an idiom and not a language, Junpei.
