Case 01 [action, Quad]

Sep 06, 2010 17:34

[Slagging new world with its slagging new rules and its slagging assumption that he'd actually attend all of these fragging classes. Damian scowled as he kicked up random flowers in the Quad. He didn't mind the "attending school" part - he was in the sixth grade back home - but really? Just snatching him from Gotham and expecting him to comply with ( Read more... )

[ And here comes Terra, all set to look after the recently planted flowers and even some of the older ones because it's relaxing, only to see some kid kicking the poor things around. Whether or not it was the flowers and plants recently put in by the students of the Home Ec class didn't matter. ]

What are you doing!? [ Despite the sharpness of her tone, she looks more stunned than outraged really. This is why we can't have nice things, Damian! ] Stop that!

He'll apologize later! ... Eventually. :/ bratbeyond September 7 2010, 02:16:44 UTC
[Oh good, first day and he's already encountered an angry student. Way to make a first impression, Razem!] What does it look like? I'm... [he trails off awkwardly, seeing the flower roots on his head. He wasn't expecting that!]

... protesting against the unfairness of living here.

Oh well, okay then. :I lastesper September 7 2010, 02:34:17 UTC
[ ... the unfairness of living here? The response actually gets a blank look (she's famous for them!) because that is definitely a strange response. ]

No one save for the natives of this place want to be here, but taking it out on the flowers and everything is unnecessary. Our situation could be a good deal worse than this, you realize.

Besides, a lot of people went to a lot of trouble planting those flowers that you just kicked up!

Sorry, Terra, he's a jerk. :< bratbeyond September 7 2010, 03:33:56 UTC
I'm aware. Still doesn't mean it's any less slagged. [But at least he's stopped! He glances at her again.]

... "A lot?" Is this like a school project or something?

[Unimpressed kid appears very unimpressed. What was he throwing a temper tantrum for? Espio was starting to feel ashamed on his behalf.]

And I suppose that's going to accomplish something, is it?

Please. It's not like these things can't grow back. [It at least stops Damian in his tracks! He scowls, glaring at the... whatever-it-was.]

I don't care. I'm going back to Gotham.

Well I'd certainly hope so, if you're gonna destroy stuff just because you're in a bad mood. What's next - buildings can be rebuilt, injuries can heal, they can get a new pet, and there's always more people anyway?

Do something more constructive and hunt down a supervillain or something. These 'sorceresses' people keep whining about might make a worthwhile target.

[The guy's got a point... Damian crosses his arms and taps his foot impatiently.] Sorceresses? You think they were the ones who brought us here?

[Oh look! Someone about Luki's age. She approaches the grumpy boy]

Huh? About what?

...and if you're gonna kick something, you should go kick something in the Training Center. The flowers can't fight back, and that's boring. 'Sides, they're pretty.

[That stops him in his tracks! Damian's still scowling, but he at least taps his foot impatiently as he brushes off flowers and roots.] About getting stuck in this slagged world.

... The Training Center? Where's that?

Eh? Wouldn't people from your world have to know about this one to warn you about it?

[Luki smiles brightly]

I need to go get my gunblade, but I can take you there myself. I was gonna go practice in a few minutes anyhow.

Oh! I'm Luki, by the way. It's nice to meet you!

Crap like this happens a lot in Gotham. [siiiigh] A warning might've been nice.

[blinkblink; boy, she's energetic] ... Damian Razem. What's a gunblade?

Now come on, what did the plants do to you?

[The way he phrased the question wasn't really in a condescending way, but with how Damien was behaving, it certainly reminded him of Teepo's antics.]

[Glances over his shoulder at the guy - man, the attitude is so reminiscent of Damian's older brother.] Plants're plants. It's not like they can't grow back.

[snorts] It's the least collateral damage I can do until this place sends me back.

dragon_savior September 7 2010, 02:36:47 UTC
So? Someone could kick you, and the damage would heal eventually. That doesn't mean people should hurt you, right?

[Oh Damian, you two are going to have fun together.]

Couldn't you find a more productive use of your time? Fishing is always good.

Tt! Like that doesn't stop them. [He pauses, remembering that he's... sorta-kinda not a superhero here.]

... People actually fish here? I wanted to play video games, but I couldn't find any.

Must you do that? [Gakupo is not liking you kicking those poor flowers and making the area look messy.]

Reply

bratbeyond September 7 2010, 02:34:18 UTC
Yes. Unless you've got a better way to announce to this place that it's slagging awful.

Yes, by going to the training center, and taking out your frustrations there. Have some respect.

... This fragged place has a Training Center? [Like we said... someone missed the memo.]
