[Action - Dollet Bar] It's a Party Tonight

[It had taken some doing, but as Selphie stood in the middle of the decorated bar, the green eyed girl swelled with excitement. Thanks to the help she had received, Dollet's bar had turned into the perfect place to hold her carefully planned party

[Rion has actually spent much of the time helping the band set up. He's never actually done the whole 'band' thing (as that would require finding other people he could play with), but he's a kid who knows a thing or two about a thing or two, and his quiet help has not gone entirely unnoticed - the band has been pretty appreciative of him just sort of being quiet and helping and asking questions only when necessary.

Also, they said they'd let him play something after they were done but before they put their stuff away, and he was really excited about that. He'd never really gotten to play on a stage or anything like that! * 3*]

[Once Selphie spots Rion? It's all over for the brunette. She's already meandering over and more or less peering at what he's doing. She's being good about staying out of the way for now though!.]

You look like you're really having fun, Rion. I can't thank you enough for helping me out tonight! Without your help I think the band might even be behind schedule!

[He jumps a little bit, turns, and just smiles widely at her - really, he's just happy to even be here. He doesn't get to go to parties that much, and is enthusiastic even about setting stuff up, much less the actual partying.]

[You know what makes Selphie feel good? Seeing facial expressions like that on the people she's come to care about. Especially on Rion, in some cases, whom she thinks just needs more smiles all around.]

I'm looking forward to hearing you play! The band seemed pretty positive on the idea!

[Marco is so there. He's drinking a VERY fruity Blue moon, and he brought a planner present for the guest of honor! Yay.]

[Oh! She remembers this guy! They met on her first day here! She's busy wracking her brain to remember his name as she quiiiietly sneaks up on the blonde. OH. NOW SHE REMEMBERS.]

Mega awesome! [She beams, rocking forward on her toes.] Didja make sure to bring friends? Don't tell me you're gonna drink the whole time! That'd be a total bummer.

[It's with a sense of dread and resignation that Mitsuru reads the invitation. (And also when she takes it out of an unnervingly pink and flower decorated envelope.) She can definitely remember that sweet-but-sincere threat of 'I will drag you to this party if I have to.'

So, even with her reservations on this, Mitsuru still shows up exactly on time, gift in hand and wearing what has to be one of the most formal and proper party dresses under the sun. It's only when she steps inside that she realizes she might, possibly, be over dressed.]

"...Should have gone with the cadet uniform, instead."

[She's quite ready to just turn around now, and hope that Tilmitt just won't be able to find her.]

[Oh, it's Mitsuru! Rion looks over, starts to wave, and then double-takes - wait, what? Why is she wearing a dress? She looks really pretty in it but... it's... Rion's a little confused, because he knows he's Not Good At Parties, and yet he was aware that this was not that sort of party.

Hi, Mitsuru. Have Rion's profound look of confusion.]

[One scan of the room, and not a tuxedo or formal suit in sight-

And there's Rion, giving her the Profound Look Of Confusion. This isn't shaping into the best of nights. She still returns that half-started wave with a polite nod of the head, before walking over to where he is. That corner looks a bit less conspicuous then standing in the door way.]

"Good evening. I see that you were invited as well."

[... another look of confusion. He does have his whiteboard with him (really, there's a strap for it on his shoulder when he goes out like this), and he immediately gets to writing.]

Of course I was. I've been here helping the band get set up :)

[Gakupo had been here for a while helping set things up. It was the least he could do for her. He even brought his shamisen, just in case. You never know when you need a shamisen!

He wasn't much of a drinker, but he was currently relaxing with some sake at the bar.]

[With a flail of her arms, Selphie waves over at her long haired friend.]

[She hurries over towards the bar, before nearly tackling the boy with an overenthusiastic hug.]

You made it! SUPER FANTASTIC!

He heard the voice clear enough, but that hug was unexpected.] OOF-- [He grins widely though and returns the embrace, catching his balance easily enough.]

I wouldn't miss this for the world! I even came early.

[Sorry, didn't mean to almost knock you off your seat, but OH WELL. She grins in response to his expression, before perching herself atop a barstool herself.]

You did! It's great. So far everyone seems to be having a great time! It's great! If everything goes off without a hitch, It'll be the best birthday party ever!

[ Yeah, Terra is fairly certain this is a bad idea. She does horribly with crowds, but practice makes perfect, right? So when she'd found the invite, she decided to show up; though the only change to her appearance was leaving her weapons at home. Fortunately she'd been to the Dollet Pub earlier, so it wasn't too difficult to find the place this time around. As such, the green haired girl wandered into the Pub at the designated time and, surprised by the change, opted to stroll around a bit to look at the decorations before things got extremely crowded. ]

[... oh, hello. By now Rion's finished setting up and is sort of ... just in a corner, not really socializing. He does recognize Terra though, and briefly waves before looking away - their, er, last encounter was. Well.

[ Awkward perhaps on Rion's part, because Terra simply waves in Rion's direction. If she's supposed to be feeling embarrassed or awkward after the way he fled the last time, someone probably should tell her, because she doesn't look even a little awkward. ]
