[ if anyone's passing by the Garden's library, they might catch Riku coming out with a few--uh, well, few is an understatement--books underneath his right arm, and a few in a canvas bag. he's a hard studier, especially during the first few weeks. he's starting to walk back to his dorm, before--

[ he pauses, looking up at him for a moment before going back to picking up his books. ]

[tornvoice]

[ ... that is a bit of a predicament. he frowns, scratching the back of his head. ]

[sansvoice]

[ Nill is passing by as it happens, and she isn't sure what to do at first. She shuffles her feet, staring at the ground and figuring she should probably just keep going. She's never seen him before. Nill is about to leave when a couple of papers are blown at her feet.

After a moment's hesitation she picks them up, gathering them together neatly. With a shy smile she brings them over to Riku, glancing away as she holds them out to him.

[tornvoice]

[ he cranes his head to look at her through his long bangs. he takes the papers, with a mouthed 'thanks'. ]

[sansvoice]

[ Nill only looks at him long enough to see this, and nods quickly. But now that she's over here... she feels like she should help some more. Nill crouches down to gather up what he hasn't already gotten. She handles each item with a delicate touch, as though they were fragile and could come apart at any moment.

Working along side him for a few minutes helps put her at ease, the girl much more relaxed around Riku by the time she's finished. ]

[tornvoice]

[ he gives her a light smile, as if sensing how worried she was, and uneasy. so once they're both done, Riku brushes his bangs away from his eyes in a tired fashion, then glances at her, outstretching his hand to shake with her. ]

[Studying? What is this alien thing? Axel blinks and stops to point and laugh. He has no idea this Riku is different, though he doesn't look like he's dressed like the last one, come to think...]

Library heist? Didn't think you were the type.

[tornvoice]

[ ... Riku doesn't reply (of course, he can't) and quickly shifts gears into backing away. That isn't the face he really wanted to see... ]

...

[And this Axel has absolutely no clue why him= scuttling away Riku. Surprisingly quiet, too. Did he not shower today or something?]

Eat something funny, today? Toilet's that way.

[tornvoice]

[ Riku just glares at him, stone-cold, not moving an inch. He doesn't want to make Axel do anything, so he guesses if he doesn't do anything, he'll just. Move. ]

[tornvoice]

[ Riku just rolls his eyes, picking them up himself and putting them on the bench. ]

[tornvoice]

[ he holds out his hand for the book, nodding. Riku can eat through books like Moby Dick in a day or two. ]
