I. → Naoto Shirogane

[She stands there, simply squinting at the scenery. She's standing right in the Lobby, not quite sure if she wants to venture further in or not. She looks rather uncomfortable about the whole thing, really, but you'd never be able to easily tell.

She lets out a small breath.]

I would really rather find a way back home.

[A young man, was it? Espio briefly caught his words as he tried to get past, invisible just because he didn't want any more "complications" at this time of the evening. But eh, he can't resist replying anyway.]

Wouldn't everyone?

[She turns sharply, blinks. Huh?]

I would assume so... Is someone there?

Well, I'm sure there's someone who likes strict routine on an alien planet. Definitely not me, though. And yeah, someone's here.

[He's pretty happy being invisible, though. Admittedly, it's partially because he likes showing off that he can do that.]

Where?

[She's still looking around, a bit put off by the disembodied voice. He sounded so close and yet there was no one near by.

And then on that thought it abruptly dawned on her.] ... Invisibility?

[He makes his way through the lobby, taking a look around the place. As he hears that uniformed fellow speak, another voice is heard inside his head: This one is cut from the same cloth as I, Atropos comments.

He figures he might as well approach this person.]

Do you have unfinished business back home as well?

[She glances over the individual who approached her and something immediately jumps out at her about him. She isn't sure what it is but she's interested.]

Sort of. It's more along the lines of Inaba being where I most belong.

I can relate. I've grown attached to Iwatodai over the year I've spent there.

[takes a moment to remember something] Inaba... is that the town that has the Amagi Inn?

[Her eyebrows arch in surprise. Iwatodai? Wasn't that...]

That's correct. You're familiar with Inaba?

[Rise, in all her politeness, refrains from tackling Naoto to the ground and settles for a simple hug from behind.]

If it isn't my favorite Detective Prince.

[And poor Naoto jumps a mile in reply. She sighs immediately, tries to regain her composure a bit when she hears Rise's voice.]

Rise-san. Was that necessary?

No, but I wanted to do it anyway. You have no idea how thankful I am to see a familiar face.

[She looks a little exasperated but smiles slightly.]

Yes... likewise. I was beginning to think I might be alone here.

Maybe they'll teach something towards that aim. [Giving a sidelong look.]

[She returns the look, studying the newcomer.]

Perhaps. But somehow I get the feeling we might be on our own.

[Folds up the glasses and leans back.]

That does seem to be the case. But since they have magic here, there could be a way back through that.

[She pulls the brim of her cap up slightly to better see him.]

Yes, that's an accurate deduction. But one must also conclude that if their magic was not able to prevent this from happening in the first place it probably cannot reverse the effects at this time.
