[After a long battle with one of the washers in the laundry room, Raidou has sworn off automated washers: they're useful in theory, but in practice, the effort exerted isn't worth the result. Instead of relying on machinery, he does it himself, methodically scrubbing the dirt out of his clothes in a large washbasin next to the row of washers and

[ Miku watches him curiously, having entered to pick some of her uniforms from the dryer. She leans against the wall, quietly observing. She'd never seen anyone wash clothing by hand before. Weird. ]

[14th]

[There's something to be said for combat training; Raidou has keen senses even in times of peace, and so when Miku enters the room, he hears her faint footsteps and turns his head to look at her. It's embarrassing, knowing that a girl is watching him do laundry, and it makes him avert his eyes and bite into his bottom lip.]

[vocavoice]

[ She watches the change in his expression, realizing she's been caught. ]

I'm sorry. [ She apologizes, lowering her head. ] I just came to get something.

[14th]

[Ah, even worse - he's insulted her by making contact. He raises his hands out of the washbasin, holding them up for a moment in the universal signal of peace; at the same time, he lowers his head in a similar fashion.]

[Axel's only got one change of clothes so far, but he's been exploring so he happens on the laundry room soon enough.]

...Hands on kind of guy, ain'tcha?

[As soon as Axel speaks, the movement of Raidou's feet comes to an abrupt stop, and he looks over his shoulder almost like he's been caught doing something he shouldn't have been doing. (Don't worry, though, Axel, he's clean.) Slowly, Raidou nods, keeping his eyes trained on Axel's as if looking at him would make it any easier or more pleasant to communicate.]

[Axel's not really one to care about being clean that much. So he folds his arms and stares right back at this... guy.]

What, are you mute, too?

[14th]

[Raidou's brow furrows slightly under the brim of his hat, and he doesn't grace Axel with the same respect as he did with Miku. He nods curtly, not bothering to avert his eyes.]
