[ if he was really stuck in this stupid school, Haine figured he'd make the best of it. for once, he was in an environment free of Giovanni and the people he affiliated with, and while it felt more than peculiar to be yanked into a new world, it almost felt liberating to not have to deal with the issues back home. ]

[ still, he knew he'd have to go back eventually, if only for Nill at least. ]

[ he stares blankly at the list of schedules and classes, doing a damn good job of ignoring the girl beside him while letting his thoughts run on ahead of him. ]

[ For Lou, it really wasn't about stuck in a school-like enviorment that made her wary, but rather the fact that she was so far away from home - and home was where the real problems were. A civil war was about to break and there she was, looking at some list of classes for things she had never head about in her whole life.

She looked at Haine briefly when he sat down and scratched her nosetip, leaning back a little. She takes notice that he, too, had a schedule list and she tilts her head a little. ]

What a mess, right?

[ It's more of a sigh, a thought said out loud, than anything else. ]

[ she gets a sideglance from him and a deadpan response. ]

This whole thing's a joke.

[ they can't really expect Haine to study, right? or even give a damn? he escaped the military-dog bullshit back home, like hell he was going to willingly get involved out of his own accord now that he hightailed it out of there. he almost wants to laugh at naoto, who seems serious about becoming a trained cadet and he can't help but wonder why anyone would want something as meaningless as that. ]

[ She didn't think it was exactly a joke, but she got the idea. For her, it was actually very new. While he had escaped a military facility, she had been released from one only to rebel against it because of her mutation. But she had never studied in her life before, the whole concept of school was new to her. ]

To each his own, right? [ She offers a small smile, before turning to the sheet in her hands. ] I guess I should focus on the future, if this whole thing of being around takes a turn for the worse. [ A pause. For the worse, for her, meant being stuck here forever. ] You think that Piloting is fun?

[ So distracted with the schedules, Lou nearly didn't hear the guy next to her, only taking notice of him some seconds later. She looks up at him and blinks, before arching her eyebrows as if saying "oh", and ends up scooting over to accommodate him. He's probably a student, by the looks of it. ]

Sorry.

[ She shrugs with a smile and leans back again, scribbling on the schedule some little notes as if trying to fit everything. If anything, it would be a good distraction so she could rest her worries regarding Hamza and the rest of the mutants back home. ]

[ She doesn't turn her eyes away from the class schedules sheet, but she tilts her head to him a little, half-chewing on the pencil and half talking to him. ]

Picking classes, since it's obligatory. [ And then she faces him for a moment. ] Just got here via I-don't-know-how.

[ His presence isn't noticed until a little later, when he speaks. Lou looks up to him and snorts, smiling sheepishly to him with a little shrug. ]

Pretty much. I have no idea what these are unless I read the little summary here. [ She taps a fine print part of the sheet, before circling one or two classes. She gives a little sigh, propping her elbow on her leg to lean her cheek against her hand. ] Confusing is an understatement.
