I can use my own magic again! What a relief. The GFs aren't bad, but you don't want to rely on them too much. Is everyone else back to normal?

To celebrate I have a little something for everyone. I'd show you, but that would spoil the surprise. I'm handing them out in the Quad!

[In Tom's case, "back to normal" was a celebration. He normally didn't stay in his transformed state in Garden - partially because Cadets once tried to kill him on sight, partially because he tended to freak most people out - but his talk with Erik had gotten him thinking.

Either way, he's there in the Quad and taking a nap underneath a nearby shaded tree. He lazily opens his eye to look at her better:]

Selling flowers again? They sure smell nice.

[ She looks around--he blends in pretty well under the shadow--and looks surprised to see him like that, but then she smiles. ]

Not exactly selling, this time... but there's too many for me to keep to myself. And they're too pretty to waste.

[He laughs, almost making it sound like a purr as he adjusts his arms so they cushion his head better.]

I'm sure it'll make their dorms look pretty nice. [He yawns.] Might take one later... depending on if I actually get a nap today.

Ah... Sometimes I think they changed the system around while I was gone! [ She frowns. ] I can send messages on the BBS just fine, but I don't know how to manage a video. I didn't really need it today, but it might be useful for class later on.

[Knows they didn't but just nods politely at her explanation.] I can teach if you need refreshment.

How dashing. [ Oh she knows they probably didn't either. It's just frustrating to forget. She nods at his offer--] I'd appreciate it! It shouldn't take too long, right? I don't think it was that hard. I just... forgot.

They smell beautiful.. Like home. It has been so long since I've smelled this smell..

Flowers are always calming to have nearby. Do you have a garden at home?

No.. not quite. [Her expression tightens for a moment as she gazes forlornly at the flowers. She smiles again, though, after a moment.]

My home is in the desert. Flowers do not grow there often.. but when one does, it's a beautiful and amazing occurrence. It makes living there worth it.

A desert... I've always thought it'd be hard to live in one. But the people there make do, I'm sure. Home's what you make of it. And it's not something you give up on.

Sure. There should be an optional function when you send out a message on the board. I've seen it before, but I don't if you could do that for an edited message.
