Right, so I can't be the only one who's noticed that things are getting... a little out of hand, what with the scorch marks, the goo, the Quad pies, the random explosions, the monster dung, the cats --

I'm just going to pre-empt you all and ask what needs to be cleaned up.

[ So enter reaper and ermine walking around when... hey, did it just get a little dark here? Ermine stares up a moment before hopping off his partner's shoulder and trying to get some distance. ]

Yeah? What's u-- WHAT?!

[ So she holds her arms out just in time to catch him and she does... amazingly so... yet that doesn't last very long. After a few seconds, she falls over, dropping him.

Have a reaper cushioning your fall. ]

WhoaaAAAA --!

[Okay, he hadn't planned on that, but it's better than breaking his back, right... He scrambles off her as quickly as he can to help her up -- she'd managed to break his fall, but TINY GIRL IS TINY.]

Oh, uh -- sorry, this -- usually this happens the other way around, sorry -- are you okay? Did I break anything?

Wait, scratch that, did you?

[ Sheepish grin and pulling herself up with a teeny thanks before dusting herself off. ]

Ya mean... you get squished by ladies? But I'm okay... and doesn't look like anything's bruised on you.

[ and back comes the ermine, scampering back onto his partner's shoulder. He leans over, glancing at the two of them. ]

Nice dogpile, you guys. You okay there, dude who fell from the sky?

[Galatea isn't a big fan of being smacked with scarves. If the guy doesn't fall first, she might grad it and pull him down.]

[The Prince hauls up his scarves and tucks them out of the way.]

Hey, you spend your life running on walls, you get to appreciate the times you can walk. Sure, I'm not sure how long this is supposed to last, but I figure I might as well enjoy it while I can.

...there is an elf trying to catch the falling Prince. He doesn't know why he's doing it. It's a very odd sort of instinct. And it's probably not going to end well.]

[Nope, because the Prince is not used to being swung around by elves rather than crazy flying desert women. Whatever happens, he backs up quickly, much less keen for physical contact than he would be with his usual life-saver.]

Uh, hey, thanks for that, but -- are you feeling okay? Not that I'm not grateful, but you don't exactly strike me as the rescuing type. At least, not for guys like me.

[Good, because Fenris doesn't actually want contact either. For a moment, he just sort of stares at the Prince, blinking.]

...something told me you were in danger. That it was important to rescue you.

[The puzzled expression fades into a scowl.]

Is this more of that woman's foul magic?

[He'd known about their power swap, yes, but that some feelings may have been transferred as well is a definite surprise.]

Foul? You're kidding, right -- is there a problem, Fenris?

[Huh? Where did this scarf come from? Gavril looks up to see the source of the fabric, and wasn't expecting a body to be coming with it.]

[Attempts to catch the falling prince before he hits the ground. Don't worry about hitting him, Gavril is pretty sturdy.]

[Which is awesome, because the Prince is something like six feet worth of practical muscle. Once he realises just who's holding him, he tries to get to his feet and step away, uninterested in hanging on.]

Is not problem at all! Why are running on ceiling, is wet problem with floor?

Just practising a trick I've picked up. Don't worry, if you slip on something wet, it'll probably be on the other side of the Garden.

[Cid's not especially fond of a Prince running along the ceiling or a Prince landing on top of him. He doesn't care all that much for a Prince floating in mid-air, either, but it's better than having to catch him.

Telekinesis--a handy thing, that.

In any case, Cid flips the Prince so he's right-side up, shifts him a few feet away from himself, and then promptly lets him fall.

...At least it's not too big a drop?]

[Okay, this is especially weird. The Prince rolls as he lands, instinctively using the momentum against gravity's sudden attempt to break his back. Again.]

I've got it! Almost. Just gotta get the knack of it before it disappears -- if it disappears, anyway. What're the odds of it being permanent?
