Choice A - Fisherman's Horizon
[For someone who isn't exactly used to setting foot in a town and having people actually stroll by - sometimes waving or offering a smile, other times a crotchety old glare and a mutter about "kids these days" - this place is rather unsettling for a kid who'd almost, bitter as it was, gotten accustomed to pretty much

Having had Hope in one of his courses this quarter, he had received notification of his apparent disappearance from the Garden--swallowed by time compression, so it seemed. As such, he finds it rather odd that this individual is standing some distance away, looking for... something or another. Cid's heard of people leaving and returning, but so quickly? Surely Hope's absence in his class hadn't just been a poor joke on the headmaster's part...
He closes the distance between them, speaking just as he draws up to the other's side.]
Hope?

It is rather jarring to be addressed so directly by him, however. Hope blinks up at him in surprise, momentarily stunned, and every bit of it shows in his voice.]
... Raines.

While not nearly as volatile as his first meeting with the Hope he originally encountered here at the Garden, this sort of reaction suggests that their differences have not yet been settled; no apologies have been said on his part. Cid sighs quietly, and when he speaks again, his tone, while already formal, becomes even more so.]
I apologize for startling you--it was not my intention. [A pause.] Have you just arrived?

So it's true. You really are alive. [Hope's tone is matter-of-fact, but unreadable all the same.]

[You can't hide it, kid. He saw the way you were trying to peek inside...]

[He might be fourteen years old, but he is... well, fourteen years old. Hope gapes at the taller guy for a moment, flabbergasted, before quickly shaking his head. His expression turns considerably more indignant.]
No. I wanted to see if this was my... my friend's class, since she was listed under a different name.

She's grown to like Fisherman's Horizon - it was something to do other than be in the school, anyway - so it wasn't all that unusual for her to roam around town. She was surprised, however, to bump into Hope, and regards him with her hands on her hips and a quirked brow.]
Gettin' some air from all those exams, are you?

Hope shakes his head a little.]
What... what exams?

You're still a student, yeah? Unless you graduated without us watching.
[...Which was plausible, really, since Fang had not been all there lately.]

What's going on here...? We're obviously not on Pulse anymore, but this clearly isn't Cocoon either. You aren't bothered by that?
