[ Claire doesn't follow her students out immediately once class ends- with the inherent weirdness present since so many people started developing unusual abilities...? Yeah, no. Her own malady is plenty stressful all on its own, and so as the last of the students filter out, she keeps to herself, busily messing with one of the sets of heavy blinds on the windows instead. Irritated, she presses it back insistently, contemplating using staples or something to make sure it stops letting in even the faintest hint of sunlight ( ... )

[ Claire does nothing more than watch him go, her expression twisted into something that does only a tiny bit towards hiding the rage she's holding back. She probably could have used this encounter to better means- trap him in the room and get some more concrete answers about how things are in the place where he hails from, for one....

But that's her problem. Her curiosity is strong, but in a way she doesn't even want to know, too. Any of it. It's not her world, and she's defensively convinced herself by now that theirs must be different enough that very little of whatever information they could provide would do much to help her in figuring out what to do with hers.

That, and she's not trained to interrogate, she's bad at lying, and right now... she's too emotionally fragile after losing her brand and her conversation with Raines to run the risk of losing control- something she knows there to be a very, very high chance of happening if she's not careful with herself. The glimpses of her new power are strange, and she's not sure ( ... )
